Supplier Industrialization Engineer - Failure Analysis Juarez / Nuevo León
The Tesla’s Supplier Industrialization team is responsible for critical component development and qualification activities with suppliers. This role is for a hands-on engineer with a multidisciplinary manufacturing, functional testing and failure analysis profile as well as able to facilitate technical communication among Tesla Engineering, Tesla SIE and the suppliers’ technical teams. On-the-spot decision-making, hands-on involvement to sustain test equipment up and running will require traveling to Tesla and supplier's premises in different regions as well as a highly multidisciplinary approach to resolve situations.
Support the SIE team on functional testing stages to manufacturing lines with Tesla’s Contract Manufacturers.
Perform Failure Analysis on Embedded Electronic Components (mainly component level, although eventually vehicle level as well).
Develop and introduce Methodological, HW and SW tools to perform failure and tester troubleshoot analyses at Tesla’s suppliers.
Prepare and deliver training material, guidelines and technical reports to Tesla and CM engineering teams.
Requerimientos:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with evidence of exceptional multidisciplinary abilities, including EE understanding, Linux (desired) and Phyton (desired). 3 years or more of experience on embedded design or failure analysis troubleshooting with focus on massive production. Knowledge on fundamentals of Design and Manufacturing on embedded electronics and system on board products (massive production environment). Microprocessors, Microcontrollers and GPUs. Linux (or Unix), Windows, Phyton and Java skills (desired). Acquainted with measurement, data acquisition and instrumentation to test equipment. Knowledge on fundamentals of electronic communication protocols like Ethernet TCP and UDP, CAN Bus, USB, I2C, SPI, UART. Acquainted with analog and digital circuitry schematics (at least reading skills). Strong experience on use of EE lab instruments like oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, audio analyzer, multimeter, power supplies, electronic loads. Self-motivated and ability to work self-driven. Hands-on, multidisciplinary mindset and ready to work on a fast-paced responsive environment. Domestic and international travel may be required, sometimes on short notice.
